X Factor US – Meet the Top 17

Finally after weeks at boot camp at a seemingly auto-tuned judges houses (the audio was so clear for an outside audition) it finally got to the final 16. But no, the girls category was so overly talented that even Simon Cowell admits he was mistaken for not choosing Melanie Amaro.

“I feel it in my gut I’ve made a mistake with someone. I’ve made a big mistake.” Cowell admitted to the other judges after they compared notes to see if there was any act that deserved a second chance.

“The other judges knew who I put through and who I didn’t put through. They were all on the phone immediately going, ‘What were you thinking? And I’ve now got to right a wrong,” Simon said during his trip to Melanie’s house in Florida.

“I want to personally apologize to you and your family for the mistake I made. You were so good. This comes from me and the other judges. We’re going to ask you to come back and enter the competition. We want you on the live shows,” Simon told to Melanie and her family.

This year is a bit different X Factor UK gets a new set of judges namely Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Kelly Rowland. As if Simon didn’t exist and everyone was just happy with the auditions.

At the other side of the world also started a bigger X Factor and its the first ever in the US. Returning to their thrones are Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul together with LA Reid and Pussycat Doll’s Nicole Scherzinger (She was also a guest judge at last year’s X Factor UK and came to the show as a host but with Cheryl Cole backing out, well she got the job).

And yeah we have awesome judges this year but it seems they are looking for the next POP star/s! The song choices for boot camp are all from successful and phenomenal artists that are in now.

Cher Lloyd’s “Swagger Jagger” a hit or a miss?

After her stand-out audition at the X-Factor and first girl to ever do a rap with a total swag and bringing some justice to Soulja Boy’s song. Cher Llloyd finally releases her latest single.

She’s a bit bitchy but she knows fashion and styling too well. Her mentor Cheryl Cole was the one who helped the buzz out. Check out her latest video of her single “Swagger Jagger” which sounds like a nursery rhyme gone Korean Pop. It sounded like 2NE1 and the video is fresh and tv-commercial like.

Can we expect to see more of her one of these days or is this a miss? Let’s see in the few months to come.
