Puss in Boots Premieres at IMAX in 3-D Purfection!

The Philippine Premiere of Puss in Boots 3-D was held at IMAX Theater SM North EDSA last October 26, 2011. It was my second time around there and again a big thanks to Sir Romz and the good people of Solar Entertainment Corporation for the invite and delicious food.

I even had my Baicapture photo taken while waiting for the movie to start. They also had a program for kids that was so crazy I can stop laughing at the cute little ones going meow for the longest seconds.

Puss in Boots also made his appearance,  greeted everyone and shown us the dance moves. Then adults got to meow too. One Old Lady belted it out like crazy and won a shirt. I want one please

They even had a fencing demo with a coach and two students before the movie started. Lots of kids seemed to enjoy it and after the fun program, the movie starts.

Shrek has been an all-time favorite of mine, it’s the clash of the fairy tale land made funnier and turned upside down. The environment is crisp and the characters are wicked and almost like what we see at books.

Puss in Boots was a hired assassin to dispose Shrek so that Fiona could be marrying Charming. It sounds so fugitive but ends up being a part of the team. The story goes up until the Forever movie where Puss always catches everyone’s attention – if it isn’t his round teary eyes, it’s him being fat in a pair of boots.

A spinoff prequel to the Shrek series follows the character Puss in Boots on his adventures before his first appearance in Shrek 2 in 2004. Accompanied by his sidekicks, the mastermind named Humpty Dumpty and the tough and street smart – Kitty Softpaws, Puss is has been led to go against Jack and Jill, two murderous outlaws who discover an ancient power which threatens the world, which is the magic beans. By that, can get them tons of golden eggs.

Funny, hilarious, adventure, love and all the other things that takes stress away is the definition of this movie. Remind me that this is a kids movie.. duh! Who cares?! I suggest family should bond together through movies like Puss in Boots. It has all the factors needed to educate a kid, to be fun, to know responsibility and be honest.

Puss in Boots will give you the oohs and aahs while Kitty makes it a purrfect love team for him (Kitty has no claws).

Humpty Dumpty is a total geek who has been bullied a lot times and dreaming always of that golden eggs.

The rest of the characters are the normal village people except for Jack and Jill wielding guns and canons plus a lot of pigs they consider babies.

The animation was spectacular and the facial expressions are very convincing! The action scenes are phenomenal with CGI popping out through 3-D. Even the dance scene was outstanding and you will be dropping your jaw to see Puss in Boots and Kitty Softpaws do a dance routine while sharp weapons are flung at them.  Lady Gaga’s single “Americano” suits it well as they enjoy the tapping of feet and poses.

Kung Fu Panda 2 hits Cityville and the silver screens in 3-D awesomeness!

This week Farmville’s tie-up with Lady Gaga making it Gagaville, Zynga’s latest collaboration with Hollywood and Dreamworks Animation is Kung Fu Panda 2 in Cityville. It only runs until the end of May 2011. CityVille’s more than 88 million monthly active players can go on a Kung Fu Panda 2-themed quest and receive an exclusive in-game item – a Po the Panda statue – for completing it.

The film is currently playing on cinemas. Zynga said CityVille is the largest and most popular application on Facebook.“Nearly a third of all ‘Kung Fu Panda’ fans on Facebook have also played CityVille, so the integration is a natural fit and something we think our players will love,” said Manny Anekal, global director of brand advertising at Zynga. “It’s important that we collaborate with innovative brands like DreamWorks Animation that resonate with and are meaningful to our players and enhance their game play.”
“Our exclusive integration of ‘Kung Fu Panda 2′ in Zynga’s CityVille gives millions of players a fun and deeply interactive way of connecting with Po and the Furious Five,” said Jason Alex, head of online marketing at DWA.

The Plot of Awesomeness!

Po is now living his dream as The Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his friends and fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five. But Po’s new life of awesomeness is threatened by the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use a secret, unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu. He must look to his past and uncover the secrets of his mysterious origins; only then will Po be able to unlock the strength he needs to succeed. © Dreamworks.

Hardly a scene goes by where you didn’t have to giggle or laugh. Most of the scenes are visually striking or kinetically thrilling,  and all of it enhanced by 3-D though some parts were cartoons. 

Its an adventure to China in order to face an enemy that has grown evil due to a prophecy of an old goat. Po and friends must save Kung Fu and retain peace but flashbacks made his task challenging for Po sees himself as baby and finally learns he’s adopted. His loving father is a duck who served noodles for living also making his Dragon warrior title a campaign for his business and promotions. Free TOFU cakes LOL!

Po also learns Inner Peace as the way to accept and recall back memories lost.. it has also helped defeat the massive army of wolves and firework cannons in the end. We love the look of his master when he’s annoyed but Po never seizes to amaze the old guy.

We’ll be expecting a 3rd part of the movie coz finally we thought the Pandas were extinct and terminated by the Peacock menace but they’ve survived in a land faraway.

If you haven’t watched the movie go to the nearest cinemas and watch it in 3-D! It worth the wait and price
