Top 10 Reasons why you should watch Cowboys & Aliens

Thanks again to wonderful peeps of SOLAR Entertainment for the IMAX Screening of Cowboys and Aliens. If you haven’t seen it yet I suggest you do and if you’re asking why here’s my top 10 reasons to watch Cowboys and Aliens.

1. Exceptional actors are the leading men of this movie. Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig you can’t say something bad with what they do rather than see its good or better. Harrison Ford plays a Colonel who owns a cattle ranch while Daniel Craig is an abducted sort-of thief guy.

2. Its all because of the Gold that caused most of the story. You’ll have to see how the aliens mine the gold, its has almost no sense to how it floats but it travels like earth has no gravity.

3. They don’t have subtitles but rather one translates after someone talks Indian and even the last alien survivor can understand it.

4. Losing one’s memory is not a problem. Just call the Indians and a hummingbird will show up! That you have to see, how Jake realized most of the things he missed out.

5. Olivia Wilde is stunningly hot and gorgeous! Who calls her a whore?! She has a secret that will be revealed at the middle of the movie and the one who holds the key for everything that’s called trouble. Yeah she is HOT but also Firey!

6. An alien device that’s pretty destructive as a bracelet and as useful as a radar but oddly looks like ultrasound scans.

7. If we dissect frogs for experimentation.. in this movie Frog looking aliens are the ones who dissect and incarcerate humans for their study. But you won’t see one yet not unless you watch it :D

8. It seems that humans are at a disadvantage here but never lose hope for Cowboys, Aliens and Thieves are all nasty when it comes ugly aliens who abduct their loved ones.

9. Its a one of a kind mash-up. Cowboys and Aliens that’s pretty much it. Also include the Indians as well. Cowboys & Aliens is based on the 2006 graphic novel of the same name created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.

10. An underdog that saves the day. Well there’s a dog that I thought was ripped off by the alien and there’s Doc who plays a scaredy non-violent character who shoots poorly but turns a saviour in the end.

There are a few more things to watch out for like the lair of the aliens and how the abduct the villagers. It’s not as serious as it is for some lines are really funny. So go ahead and watch it at cinemas near you.

For my recent post about Cowboys and Aliens see it here.

Cowboys and Aliens

They may not go together like what we expected, but it kinda works. The film is based on the graphic novel, the western and sci-fi genres. Cowboys and Aliens has Daniel Craig looking serious to kick some alien butt, Harrison Ford looking ready to chew up and spit out anyone who looks at him wrong, and Olivia Wilde looking gorgeous. Check out the trailer and see what you think:

Synopsis:
1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don’t welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde. It’s a town that lives in fear.

But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known.
Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he’s been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive traveler Ella, he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents – townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors – all in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown.

Fresh off the success of Iron Man 2, director Jon Favreau takes on Cowboys and Aliens. Starring Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford – as the leads in the sci-fi-meets-western romp. It additionally features a top-notch supporting cast that includes Olivia Wilde along with Sam Rockwell and Noah Ringer.
